The i30 N Line features an upgraded version of Hyundai SmartSense™[H2] – our cutting-edge suite of driver safety technologies. Each of those technologies has one thing in common: they’ve been developed to alert you to (and help you avoid) any dangers around you.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) – Car and Pedestrian.
The front radar sensor and windshield-mounted camera detect and monitor vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists in front of you. If a potential collision is detected, you’ll receive audible and visual warnings, and your brakes may be applied too.
Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go.
Detects the speed and distance of vehicles ahead of you, and maintains a safe distance from them. In stop/start traffic, it will automatically bring you to a stop when appropriate, then automatically accelerate back up to the original set speed.
Lane Keeping Assist (LKA).
At speeds of +60 km/h, if your Santa Fe detects that it’s straying out of its lane without its indicators being activated, an audible and visual alert will be triggered.
Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW).
Radar sensors on the rear bumper will alert you to vehicles next to and diagonally behind you, in case you haven’t already noticed them.

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning.
Keeps an eye out for vehicles approaching from either side of you when you’re reversing out of a perpendicular parking space. If it detects them, audible and visual warnings will activate.
High Beam Assist (HBA).
Scans the road ahead for lights, then automatically adjusts headlamp range, switching between high and low beam.
Advanced Smart Parking Assist System.
Rear Occupant Alert.
Utilises a rear door logic where the system detects occupants entering via
the rear doors opening and closing. Once it detects the rear doors to have been opened & closed, ROA issues an audible warning chime and prompts the driver with a visual warning message to “check rear seats”, displayed in the instrument cluster upon opening the front door after parking.
Rear Occupant Alert – Advanced, available only on the Elite & Highlander variants, will send out an alert signal if it detects someone is still in the car after it’s been switched off and the doors locked.
Safe Exit Assist.
The system detects any oncoming vehicles approaching from the rear and alerts you that it may be dangerous for passengers to exit. And if the child safety lock is activated, the SEA system will prevent that door from being opened.
Driver Attention Warning (DAW).
If the system detects erratic steering, sudden braking or an inability to stay within your lane, driving alerts will appear on your screen. Based on how long you’ve been driving, it may also recommend you take a break.
Surround View Monitor.
This gives you an animated bird’s eye view of your Santa Fe’s surroundings, making it easier to park in tight spaces. Rear View Mode lets you see what’s behind you when luggage or equipment is blocking your line of sight.

Sat Nav Update Plan
Only applies to new vehicles with factory-fitted satellite navigation. Updates are delivered annually and are included if the vehicle completes a scheduled service at a participating Hyundai dealer. For i30 (PD), i30N (PDeN), IONIQ (AE), Elantra (AD), Veloster (JS), Kona (OS MY19+), Tucson (TL FL), Santa Fe (TM), Venue (QX) and Sonata (DN8). Models with factory-fitted satellite navigation, updates must be undertaken within 10 years of the vehicle’s initial purchase, maximum number of 9 updates.
