Like a second set of eyes, this system uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to look out for vehicles in your rear blind spot, providing audible alerts and haptic steering wheel vibration.
Lane Following Assist (LFA)
LFA uses the TUCSON’s front windshield-mounted camera to detect lane markers and preceding traffic on the road and provides steering assistance to help you stay safely centred in your lane while driving.
Safe Exit Warning (SEW)
This system detects oncoming vehicles approaching from the rear and alerts you that it may be dangerous for passengers to exit the TUCSON, with both a sound and a pop-up visual warning appearing on the dashboard.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Junction Turning (FCA-JT)
Turning into oncoming traffic at a road junction is made safer with the FCA front camera and radar system. As soon as your TUCSON’s indicator is turned on, the system detects any oncoming obstacles, alerting you to take extra care. If the system detects that danger is imminent, it applies emergency braking to avoid an impact.
Advanced Rear Occupant Alert
After the TUCSON’s ignition is turned off and the vehicle is locked, this system monitors movement in the rear passenger seats. If movement is detected, the TUCSON’S alarm will sound to alert you.
Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist (RCCA)
When backing out from a parking spot, RCCA detects vehicles approaching from the left or right. The sensor will issue an audible alert and visual warning on the dashboard and, if necessary, will initiate a braking manoeuvre.
High Beam Assist (HBA)
Switching between high and low beams has never been easier at night or when visibility is low. HBA scans the road ahead for the headlights of oncoming cars, then automatically adjusts the car’s headlamp range.
